Round 2 News

Western Conference
1] Warriors vs. 5] Trailblazers (Warrior lead series 3-1)
With the now declared reigning MVP, Steph Curry, returning to the lineup after time out due to an injured knee, the Golden State Warriors are now on a run leading the series three to one. It was a historic game on Tuesday as the game was forced into overtime after a comeback from behind 4th quarter. After just shooting 2-11 from the three-point line in regulation, Steph Curry went on to lead the team to victory with an NBA Playoff record of 17 points in overtime. The Trailblazers have to play for their season in the next game on 12/5, but a loss will result in back-to-back Western Conference Finals for the Warriors.

2] Spurs vs. 3] Thunder (Thunder lead series 3-2)
What a shocker of a series, so far! The Thunder, considered under-dogs in every game played in this series, now lead the 2 seed Spurs. Game 4 had a very controversial play costing the Spurs the game when Dion Waiters was inbounding the ball and elbowed an opposing player that was defending him. The referees did not call the foul and the Thunder went on to run out the clock and tie the series at two games a piece. After the game in a referee post-conference with the media, the referee staff concluded that it was a clear foul and switch of possession that would’ve resulted in a Spurs ball and a chance to send the game to overtime. The next game on 13/5 should be a doozy as the Spurs look to send the series into a game 7 and try to advance on to the Western Conference Finals.

Eastern Conference
1] Cavaliers vs. 4] Hawks (Cavaliers win series 4-0)
In a dominant series sweep by LeBron James & Co. the Cavaliers will advance to the Eastern Conference Finals for the second year. The Cavaliers broke an NBA Playoff record in this series by hitting 25, 3-point shots in the game. The series was in total control by the Cavaliers and the Hawks rarely stood a chance. The Cavaliers were clicking on all cylinders and looked like an unstoppable freight train. The Hawks could not take away the 3-point threats of J.R. Smith, Kyrie Irving, LeBron James, and Kevin Love causing them to get blown out in 3 out of the 4 games of the series. The eager Cavaliers look on to the Raptors and Heat series to see who they will be competing against in the Eastern Conference Finals

2] Raptors vs. 3] Heat (Series tied 2-2)
In an exciting series so far, and what looks like a game 7 in the near future, Dwayne Wade and the Heat look to be a Cinderella story and advance to the Eastern Conference Finals. Kyle Lowery and the Raptors are playing well and look to have a younger age and less worn out appearance then the competing Heat, but momentum shows no loyalty and Dwayne Wade could cap off his career with a trip to the Eastern Conference Finals if the Heat can win the series.
